Mountain Flight Training

Learn the basics of flight. Ground School starts as low as $275.

Glacier Air's ground school includes multimedia instruction using PowerPoint presentations and hands-on workshops.

Private Pilot License (PPL) ground school runs Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30-9:30pm.

Ground school covers the following subjects:
+ Licensing
+ Air Regulations
+ Meteorology
+ Theory of Flight
+ Engines, Airframes and Systems
+ Navigation
+ Flight Operations
+ Radio Theory
+ Human Factors

Program total run time is approximately 50 hrs over a 2 month period. At the end of the program you will write several practice exams to prepare for the Transport Canada written exam.
