Mountain Flight Training

Learn the basics of flight. Ground School starts as low as $300.

Glacier Air's ground school includes multimedia instruction using PowerPoint presentations and hands-on workshops.

Private Pilot License (PPL) ground school runs Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-9:00pm.

Ground school covers the following subjects:
+ Licensing
+ Air Regulations
+ Meteorology
+ Theory of Flight
+ Engines, Airframes and Systems
+ Navigation
+ Flight Operations
+ Radio Theory
+ Human Factors

Program total run time is approximately 50 hrs over a 3 month period. At the end of the program you will write several practice exams to prepare for the Transport Canada written exam.

All flight training is based at the Squamish Municipal Airport.
