Mountain Flight Training
Night Rating, a Transport Canada recognized program

The night rating is an endorsement that can be added on to the Private Pilot's License. It allows you to fly at night and experience the exhilarating feeling that comes from flying in darkness.
Prerequisites
An applicant for the night rating must hold a Private Pilot's License.
Experience Requirements
An applicant for the night rating shall have a minimum of 20 hours in aeroplanes, including:
- 10 hours of night time including:
- 5 hours of dual, including 2 hours dual night cross-country
- 5 hours of solo, including 10 takeoffs and landings
- 10 hours of dual instrument time (this includes the 5 hours you will have acquired with the PPL)
Training Facilities
The Squamish Airport is not equipped with lights, so the night training will be conducted mostly at airports such as Sechelt, Pitt Meadows and Langley. Overnight accommodations may be arranged as required for an additional charge.
Costs
Payment for flight training is due at the end of each flight and may be paid as the training progresses. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, credit card and debit card.
